The Lotus Esprit was initially designed by one Giorgetto Giugiaro & built by Lotus Cars as a British Sports car at their Hemel factory between 1976 and 2004. It was first launched at the Paris Motor Show in October 1975.
There were 4 series of cars with various derivatives, the car being re-designed numerous times over this period, finally losing its wedge shape with the introduction of the Series 4.
Penned by Julian Thomson in 1993, it was designed with a more rounded front end and the addition of a large rear wing on the Sport version.
This S4 Sport is simply beautiful, in the best combination of Calypso Red with a Beige leather interior, having had only 2 prior owners, the last for some 20 years.
This car has been meticulously maintained, with the last owner laying out over £20k on maintenance and uprated parts, all of which form part of the extensive history file.
The service book is fully stamped and numerous old MOT certificates corroborate its current mileage of 56K.
The paintwork is immaculate and the road wheels have been totally refurbished,.
Currently undergoing a full maintenance check prior to sale with a new 12 month MOT.
It’s an absolute joy to drive & a car that will give the new owner heaps of smiles as he heads down that open road!
