Built in Coventry, this beautiful example of 1960's Jaguar styling was shipped to South Africa when it spent its 57 years and only 98,000 miles with just 2 owners.
Still with its original tool kit and incredible paperwork going back to the factory order, this is a rust free gem.
This is a rare example of the 3.8L variant, running the factory optional full synchromesh manual gearbox with overdrive, as noted in the original order.
1965 Jaguar S-Type 3.8L Manual (full synchromesh) with Overdrive
As with all the cars we bring back home from South Africa, this is virtually rust free, having lived all of its life in the warm, dry climate of the African South.
Within only 2 owners from new, this car has spent a large portion of its life with the second of those, being beautifully maintained as part of a significant English collection.
At only 98,000 miles, this car has travelled less than 1,800 miles a year and its condition shows it.
In it's luxurious white livery and original red interior, this car has been kept as it was from the factory, with matching numbers engine and gearbox and documentation to prove it.
Said documentation goes back to the original purchase order in 1964, factory and dealership correspondence and all the factory booklets and accompanying paperwork, in a very rare example of careful ownership.
Showing very little wear externally and a wonderful patina inside, this is a fantastic example of the marque, a true hidden gem from the southern shores and we are proud to offer it, back in the UK.
